Music Beyond Frontiers — Songs of Tagore — A Miscellany

The performers presented a miscellany of Tagore’s songs in the same format that Rabindranath had categorized his songs, namely Bichitro (Songs of miscellaneous variety), Puja (Devotion) Prakriti (Nature), Natyageeti (Drama), Anushthanik (Ceremonial), Prem (Love) and Swadesh (Patriotic). The singers demonstrated how in each of the selected songs Tagore had been inspired by creative sources beyond frontiers.
